What is the ingredient in lip plumpers that makes the lips get pumped up? Or where can I buy Glystherin?

Good lip plumper can get really expensive so I was wondering if there is some ingredient that you can buy at a regular store to put on your lips to make them a little more pouty. At Sephora, on the product description, it says that one of them has pepper in it and I was watching a t.v. show and they said that Glystherin makes lips pumped too. If so, where can I buy this? What is the ingredient in lip plumpers that makes the lips get pumped up? Or where can I buy Glystherin?
All different products have different ';main'; ingredients including pepper, peppermint oil, or chemicals. It just depends on the manufacturer.

I've tried Avon's Plump %26amp; Smooth Lip system %26amp; it has worked nicely.

cinnamon tends to do the same thing. no burning, maybe a slight tingly sensation, gives you fuller-looking lips for next to nothing if you've already got it in your cabinet. rubbing cinnamon sticks along your lips might have the same affect.

though it doesn't last long, it's super-cheap. just rub the spice on your lips %26amp; go over it with your favorite lipstick or gloss.
