Does anyone know the ingredient in candies like Jolly Ranchers and Airheads that paint your lips, say, blue?

I'm doing an article for my school newspaper on Things That Suck, and the person i interviewed said how blue jolly ranchers and airheads make your lips turn blue.But i have to include WHY this happens..Does anyone know the ingredient that makes your lips turn blue?Does anyone know the ingredient in candies like Jolly Ranchers and Airheads that paint your lips, say, blue?
I think its just the food dye.

Food Coloring, just like when you make home-made candy (called Hard Tack) its similar to Jolly Ranchers and you put the desired good coloring and flavor in it. The only other ingredients are sugar and corn syrup.
